Frequently asked questions for STM Products and Services
Why are STM Canna’s products better?
We are the manufacturer and strictly monitor quality assurance. We do not import or rebrand and we do not outsource production.
Another major reason is our quality is unsurpassed. We build UL compliant commerical grade equipment designed to withstand rigorous production requirements and stringent demands.
Does STM Canna really make their own equipment?
Yes, we most certainly do! We design, manufacture, assemble and service all of our products right out of our main manufacturing facility in Spokane, Washington. Our products are proudly made in the U.S.A.
What does the warranty cover?
STM offers one of the best warranties in the industry backed by a knowledgeable & dedicated client services team. All of our machines come with a comprehensive 12-month parts and labor warranty. We are also available for support by phone, email and/or video conference every Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
“We received training for our team and walked through all the important steps in execution very clearly and simply. I love knowing that I have a reliable support team should we have any questions or complications with the machine and its use”
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTABLE?
Acceptable payment methods are cash, bank transfer or an overnight mailed payment such as money order, bank draft or check. Debit/credit card payments are not available at this time.
WHICH PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Payment for all orders are due in full. In certain cases, a 50% down deposit may be accepted. While you may feel free to utilize an external equipment leasing agency to lease our equipment, we do not currently provide a direct leasing option.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS OF ANY KIND?
We do not offer discounts outside of bulk purchases. To inquire about bulk purchases, please contact your dedicated STM sales rep or our SVP of Sales, Jessica Ferranti at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY AVAILABLE? WHAT IF I NEED PARTS AFTER IT EXPIRES?
A One Year Parts & Labor Manufacturing Warranty is included with every machine. We design, engineer and manufacturer our equipment in-house to uphold the utmost quality. As such, new part orders would be ordered from STM directly vs. having to source 3rd party parts overseas or from external manufacturers.
WHAT IS THE LEAD TIME ON YOUR EQUIPMENT?
Please be advised that STM products are in high demand and lead times often vary. Contact us today for current lead times on all STM products. All units are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and are suggested to be reserved 1-2 months minimum in advance. Because shipping dates are confirmed only upon receipt of payment, we ask that you keep this in mind with purchasing and take action appropriately in order to meet your production needs and timelines.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A PRODUCT DEMO.
Prior to requesting a demo, please visit the STM Canna YouTube channel to view demos and videos as these are often satisfactory. Please inquire within as demos are completed on a case-by-case basis for serious inquiries only.
IS YOUR EQUIPMENT SAFE?
STM Canna takes safety very seriously. Not only do we use high quality commerical grade components but we also ensure that our machines are safe and compliant. All of our machines have an emergency stop button on the front touch control and well as a lockout switch. The Rosin Press has a safety shield around the press plates and infrared light curtains which stop the press if the plane is broken (so not to squish your hand).
WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING AND SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS?
STM proudly leads by example in customer service, support and satisfaction. Our highly regarded Client Success Program includes: a dedicated client portal with a range of tools, videos and support documents; a dedicated Client Services representative tasked with providing you technical assistance, virtual training, and in-depth support; and options for On-Site Training.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Versus standard vibration-only machines, the RocketBox’s patent-pending technology utilizes a combination of a powerful motor and a pneumatic leveling system. This technology allows all vibration frequencies to remain concentrated in the area where the cones are centrally located, versus dispersing the vibrations throughout the machine and causing inconsistencies.
Beginning with the bottom cone tray suspended in air during the entire cycle, the first stage (“filling”) starts by emitting light vibrations which agitate the material, allowing the material to begin evenly layering itself within the cone to avoid empty pockets. The second stage (“packing”) then emits more intense vibrations and a bounce to begin to pack the evenly filled cones. Stage three (“optional final pack”) is a replica of the first stage which operators can use in order to finalize the desired airflow and pack of their cones. Each of these three stages holds 3 fully customizable settings within: PSI (20-90), Motor Speed (1%-100%), and Duration of Cycle to allow the operator to work with a variety of different material types and strains. Aside from a wide range of customizations, the unique RocketBox tray system includes funnels which directly taper inside of the papers below, allowing for better weight accuracy, fill rates, product quality and consistency.
WHAT IS THE ROCKETBOX VARIANCE IN WEIGHT?
Weight variance in the RocketBox typically falls within 5%-10%. Different material types will require a dialing-in period to achieve the final pre-roll desired. When first dialing-in, some operators may experience up to 10% variance, while an operator who has obtained experience can reach 5% variance or less.
HOW MANY CONES DOES THE ROCKETBOX FILL AT ONCE?
453 in 2-3 minutes depending on cone size.
WHAT IS THE ROCKETBOX MADE OF?
The RocketBox is made from steel and aluminum as well as food grade plastics. Everything is 100% food and commerical grade.
WHAT CONE SIZES DOES THE ROCKETBOX FIT?
The RocketBox machine itself is universal. However, the Bottom Tray (which holds the papers) comes in one of three tray sizes of choice: .5g, .7g or 1g.
WHICH PAPERS WORK BEST?
We believe our clients should have the ability to use any paper/brand of their choosing. Therefore, operators may feel free to use any brand they desire so long as the cones fit the industry standard sizes we recommend.
.5g Tray = 1-1/4” size (84mm)
.7g Tray = 98mm Special (98mm)
1g Tray = King Size (109mm)
DOES THE ROCKETBOX TWIST/CLOSE THE PREROLLS?
No. We leave closing and the different methods of closing (fold, twist, proprietary methods, etc.) to the client.
Note: Due to the extremely limited customization options other machines on the market offer, there are few settings apt to adjust for different material types. Therefore, various tedious steps must occur post-machine cycle such as pouring material in and out (to reach proper weight range), dampening (bringing material closer to the filter), and hand packing – all before closing and packaging. Due to the RocketBox technology, these additional tedious steps above are eliminated, making the process of completion to closing and packaging significantly faster. While the RocketBox may not close the ends, the RocketBox also increases production speeds up to 4x’s based on volume alone– making it the most efficient commercial pre-roll machine to date.
DOES STM OFFER PRE-ROLLED CONES?
Upon any purchase of STM products, STM clients gain access to our affiliate cone partner, Cascade Essentials. Cascade Essentials solely focuses on providing pre-rolled cones including a variety of cone types, brands and options limited to STM clients.
WHAT STEPS DO I TAKE IF I HAVE A PECULIAR CONE SIZE?
Please notify your sales rep and describe your particular situation. While we do not offer custom options, we do recommend mailing cone samples to our facility for testing so that our technicians can determine whether or not your cone is viable for use in our machine.
WHAT IS THE BEST HUMIDITY LEVEL FOR FLOWER IN PRE-ROLLS?
The optimal humidity level for flower being prepared for use in the RocketBox is around 10%.
WHAT IS THE IDEAL GRIND SIZE FOR PRE-ROLLS?
A good general rule of thumb is to have the material mimic the same coarse grind consistency that you would receive by using a personal hand grinder. Avoid using very powdery, fine material, along with large chunks.
WHAT ARE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS?
There are no special power requirements to operate the efficient STM RocketBox. The RocketBox plugs into a standard 110v recepticle.
HOW DOES THE ROCKETBOX MAKE ME MORE EFFICIENT?
The RocketBox helps you increase your overall margins by decreasing your labor costs and expenses, because time is money. For example, to do 2500 pre-rolls on our closest competitor’s machine, you would have to run it 25 times. With the RocketBox, that same volume would be 5.5 times with a better variance.
With the STM RocketBox, you’ll never have to worry about
constant ongoing expenses & headaches, such as:
-Buying New Machines Every Time You Need More Volume ($$)
-Having to Source Plastic and Foam Parts from 3rd Parties Overseas
-Calling Customer Service & Reaching Overseas Call Centers
